Which Garlic Should You Grow?

How do you decide which garlic is the one for you? Vampires hate both of them but here are some other things to consider:

Hardneck Garlic

• Perfect for northern gardens
• Rich flavor
• In warmer areas? Just give them a cold nap. Tuck your bulbs in the crisper drawer for 6–8 weeks before planting.

Softneck Garlic

• Thrives in warmer zones (but hardy from Zone 3–10!)
• Doesn’t require chilling
• Classic braiding garlic with long storage life
